This hostel is in a prime location in the heart of the city, making it super convenient to explore. It's also close to a Metro Station, so getting around is a breeze. The rooms are comfortable and clean, with lockers available for your belongings. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they offer baggage storage for your convenience. Plus, the hostel offers a lounge area where you can relax and socialize with other guests.
The shower can be a bit dangerous, so be careful while using it.

It was a lovely place to stay. I have to say that all the staff were extremely helpful and kind. No matter what you ask for, they would always try to help. We were two girls and we felt very safe. The location of this hostel is just perfect. It made our trip in Barcelona a lot easier. We didn't even finish the subway cards because there's no need to take the metro most of the time. The bed sheets were clean and the shower rooms were clean and convenient also.
Maybe it would be better to offer some free water in the room with some plastic cups. That would fits more of the price. Mais c'est pas grave.

I really appreciated the helpful staff. They made you feel very welcome and always helped you whenever you needed something. Also, the Hostel was very clean and the guests looked after their stuff so nothing was lying around and disturbing other people. The Internet was for free and you could use the kitchen and a fridge to store and cook your food which was really convenient.

A truly amazing experience at a centrally located hostel. The staff went out of their way to make me feel at home. One night, we had a fantastic dinner together, sharing stories and laughter. The facilities were clean and well-maintained. Although breakfast wasn't included, there's a nearby spot with delicious options. The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. I highly recommend this hostel for its friendly atmosphere, great location, and excellent value for money.

All the staffs were really friendly and helpful with everything. The facilities were pretty modern, safe, clean and definitely comfy to sleep in eventhough it was a shared room. The 24-hours reception helped a lot cause you still get to return to the hostel like 3am in the morning.

I gotta say, for the price I paid, I was really happy with what I got. The room was clean and comfy, and the location was spot on. Plus, the staff treated me like a VIP!
The breakfast option could use a little boost. Maybe adding some more variety would make it even better.

The hostel has an excellent location close to the Plaza de Cataluna. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Even as a sole traveler with almost no information about the city you can get the most out of it. You get a good advice where to go, what to see, how to travel, where to eat etc. The crew organizes daily social events on which you may participate (E.G. live music in a jazz bar in my case).
It was a bit difficult for me to find the hostel as the building looks like a bank from outside.

The stuff are very kind and helpful. In the city of Barcelona, they speak very good English, which is very practical and convenient. The location is perfect and the hostel is nice and comfort, like a family. The hostel is daily cleaned and the environment is very easy-going.
As this is a hostel, the sound proofing is not so good, which is quite understandable. And the wifi signal is not that stable but they have computers provided, so never mind. This is just the hostel that you need at Barcelona.

My purpose was to explore the city and I had a great time. The location of the hostel is perfect, right in the city center near Rambla and the university. I could easily walk to all the sights within 30 minutes. The staff, especially Amanda, was extremely nice and helpful. The hostel was clean and the kitchen, despite being small, was still useful. I also appreciated the free tea and biscuits available. I had a positive experience and would recommend this place.
I would be happy to recommend this hostel.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The day I arrived they gave me all the tips of where to go and what to do. It is in perfectly located, within walking distance of the main attractions. The rooms were very clean and the other people at the hostel were very respectful, meaning they weren't noisy at night and this made my stay great. Everyone was great and I would definitly stay at this Hostel again.

The location of Alternative Creative Youth Home was excellent! It's near La Rambla, the Metro and many great tourist attractions. When I arrived at the hostel, I was almost turned away by Al because I was over the age limit, which is not stated on Booked.net's Web site, or the hostel's, but Al let me stay because that information was not clearly stated. Al and Michelle, his girlfriend/business part, were so friendly and kind, and they bent over backward to make me feel welcomed! They provided me with maps and tons of information about how to get around Barcelona, and they also organized many events for residents to partake of, if they chose to do so. I enjoyed dining at Juicy Jones vegan restaurant, which makes an awesome gazpacho soup, and partying with them at a jazz club that featured some great performances by some uber talented singers and musicians! I met some wonderful people at the hostel whom I hope to stay in contact with for years to come!!
This was my first experience staying at a hostel, so I didn't know what to expect. My experience was great, but the only negative aspect of my stay was that I was bitten, very severely, by some type of bug in two places on my lower right leg. I know that the staff worked hard to keep the place clean, which can be a challenge when there are so many people coming and going, and I saw the cleaning staff working while I was there. However, I was afraid I might have been bitten by a bed bug, and possibly carried some away with me, which made for an unsettling feeling the rest of my vacation since I had several more hostels and hotels to stay in over a 2.5 week period. I was careful to unpack my luggage and bags in the hallway of my apartment building, and not bring in any open bags or containers into my apartment. Also, I bought some bed bug spray, and purchased enclosed covers for my mattresses and box springs, and so far I haven't had any bug problems. Thank God!!
